籃網15日主場迎戰近況不佳的湖人，日前才傷癒復出的林書豪在賽前熱身後因背部不適決定休兵，籃網在3名球員得分突破20的情況下，最終以107比97贏球，讓湖人苦吞8連敗。
林書豪在賽前便向球隊表示自身下背部感到緊繃痠痛，在經過賽前熱身後狀況依舊沒有改善，於是決定不出場比賽，由Isaiah Whitehead出任先發控球後衛。
比賽雙方互有來往，籃網在第四節中段打出一波11比2攻勢，終於拉開比數，也收下最後的勝利。
籃網以Bojan Bogdanovic攻下23分最高，其次是Sean Kilpatrick的22分，頂替林書豪的Whitehead則拿下8分。
主戰中鋒Brook Lopez有20分進帳，他在第四節連續得分是籃網得以拉開比數的關鍵，另外Trevor Booker有8分進帳，抓下本季個人新高18籃板。
湖人以替補出陣的Lou Williams拿下最高分16分，Jordan Clarkson拿下12分。先發後場搭擋D'Angelo Russell和Nick Young此役手感都相當冰冷，兩人合計25投僅7中，分別拿下11分和14分。
